PASE was awarded both major, multi-year contracts to provide comprehensive training and technical assistance to all participating agencies with the goal of ensuring high quality programming for participating children and youth and building overall agency capacity.
PASE will partner with leading community based organizations to provide OST grantees with:
- Workshops
- Institutes
- Best Practice Panels
- Annual Conferences
These offerings will be customized to different staff audiences according to their educational levels, experiences, and employment responsibilities; content areas will include:
- Developmentally appropriate practice
- Enrichment and learning
- Academics
- Family and community engagement
- Health and safety
- Program management.
Individual Organizational consultation is also be available to OST contractors. These consultations take many forms including, program observation, modeling and/or co-leading activities, program planning and problem solving, and training of direct service staff.
PASE has developed peer networks and conducted larger forums to allow practitioners to share best practices, troubleshoot common challenges, and become a resource for each other. These encourage collaborations that will ultimately lead to strengthened practice at each of the OST sites.
These combined technical assistance efforts will be guided by a PASE OST Advisory Committee.
