Frequently Asked Questions
I have very specific needs for my program. Are you able to design staff development to meet those needs?
Click for Answer
Yes. We always begin with a needs assessment to determine the best direction to take. We then customize training and technical assistance to address those needs.
How many people can attend a workshop at one time?
Click for Answer
Generally workshops should not exceed 30 participants but adjustments can be made based on topic.
I am interested in your services, but my program has a tight budget. How have other organizations paid for training and/or technical assistance?
Click for Answer
As the leader in afterschool education, we keep our rates competitive and budget-friendly. Some programs have partnered with one another to share in the cost. Members of PASE receive a 10% discount on all site- based services. To learn more about membership click here.
What kind of documentation do we receive?
Click for Answer
All training participants receive certificates of completion which outline any SACC training requirements fulfilled. For technical assistance, programs receive a summary report outlining process, accomplishments, and recommendations.
It is important that I see results, how can you deliver on this?
Click for Answer
The more in depth the services, the greater the impact. PASE can do a single workshop, but we also recommend a training series on related topic or pairing technical assistance with a workshop. This allows your staff to absorb and put into practice the knowledge and skills they have gained.
Who are PASE trainers?
Click for Answer
PASE draws its trainers from community-based organizations, institutions of higher education, leading non-profits, and most importantly, from "practitioner-experts" working in the field, whose expertise is informed by their daily work. PASE trainers utilize varied training techniques. The end result is relevant and contextualized professional development that hones skills, strengthens programs, and propels the field forward.
